The project will provide double-track infrastructure, rebuild or construct eight stations and ten stops, and add viaducts, underpasses and technical stations. After the deployment of ETCS, passenger trains will be able to travel at up to 200 km/h, with journeys expected to take about 55 minutes. Freight trains up to 750 metres long will be able to travel at up to 120 km/h. The work is scheduled for completion within 46 months.
