What is happening
The measure, adopted after the migrant crisis in Ceuta, was due to expire on August 31. Italy extended it for another 15 days. Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said he hoped it would be the last suspension.
Why is it on the Radar?
The Schengen suspension between Italy and Spain will remain in place for an additional 15 days, with both countries applying corresponding measures.
