What is happening
On Wednesday 30 September, the Social Affairs Committee will hear representatives of Federsanità and the National Federation of Physiotherapists’ Orders on a bill establishing community physiotherapists. It will also hear representatives of dyspraxia-related associations and a child neuropsychiatrist on proposals concerning research and protections for people with dyspraxia and related conditions. The Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into Femicide and Gender-Based Violence will hear Claudia Corradi of Motorola and Rossana Ciuffetti of Sport e Salute on gender-based violence in sport. On Thursday 1 October, it will hear lawyers from Differenza Donna, a representative of UDI and representatives of D.i.Re. on secondary victimisation. The committee also held hearings on 29 September with Sport Minister Andrea Abodi, journalist Paola Ferrari and project manager Daniele Radicioni.
Why is it on the Radar?
The hearings are part of parliamentary examinations of proposed measures on community physiotherapy, research into dyspraxia and protections for affected people, as well as inquiries into gender-based violence in sport, secondary victimisation and the relationship between gender-based violence and health.
