In Naples and Turin, some distributors reportedly ran out of fuel after selling more than 2,000 liters of petrol in three and a half hours. The European Union called for lower energy consumption.

The reported price reductions at stations other than Eni were limited, while strong demand led to temporary fuel shortages at some distributors in Naples and Turin.
