Polling stations are open until 11 p.m. today and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, September 28, followed immediately by counting. There are 487 polling stations and 287,719 eligible voters. The candidates are Francesco Toscano, Domenico Giannetta, Francesco Antonio Benedetto, known as Frank, and Fabio Roscioli, representing the lists reported on the ballot. The seat was left vacant by Francesco Cannizzaro of Forza Italia after his election as mayor of Reggio Calabria. In September 2022, turnout was 49.4%.
