What is happening
The ceremony is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. at the Erasmo Iacovone Stadium. Beforehand, Fontana will attend a welcome for the participating countries’ heads of state and government at the Aragonese Castle, hosted by President Sergio Mattarella.
Why is it on the Radar?
The event will bring together participating countries’ leaders and mark the opening of the 20th Mediterranean Games.
