What is happening
According to la Repubblica, the decree received approval in the Council of Ministers. It provides for a cap on foreign students in first-year classes, funds to strengthen language instruction, Italian-language courses for parents, and optional Latin starting in middle school. Technical and vocational institutes will be called lyceums. The decree also introduces fines of up to €1,000 for the burqa.
