What is happening

Chamber of Deputies Vice-President Giorgio Mulè attended the opening and said the exhibition would bring the history and origins of the Italian Republic abroad. The exhibition, titled “1946, the Republic is born. The Constituent Assembly at Montecitorio,” was organized with the Chamber of Deputies and the Italian Embassy in Germany. It is scheduled to move to New York, with further stops planned in Madrid, London and Tokyo. A related exhibition is open at Montecitorio throughout 2026.

Why is it on the Radar?

The initiative presents materials on the birth of the Italian Republic to audiences outside Italy and connects the Berlin exhibition with the broader display at the Chamber of Deputies.
