Italian Chamber schedules hearings on AI in schools, island disadvantages and defence

At 8:30, the Defence Committee will hear Lorenzo Mariani, CEO of Leonardo S.p.A., on the industrial and technological outlook of Italy’s defence sector. At 8:45, the parliamentary committee on disadvantages linked to insularity will hear Vincenzo Franza of Società Navigazione Siciliana and, by videoconference, Patrizia Scarchilli of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport on its fact-finding inquiry. At 13:30, the Culture Committee will hear Invalsi president Roberto Ricci on the results of the Education Ministry’s experiment involving artificial intelligence in lower and upper secondary schools.
