Speaking at the Open Festival, Schlein said the PD supports Ukraine’s defence against the invasion and wants the European Union to adopt a unified negotiating position aimed at achieving “a just peace.” She said the M5S shares some positions with the PD but differs on continuing support for Ukraine until negotiations begin. Schlein added that many M5S proposals are compatible or overlapping with those of the PD and other coalition forces, while disagreements will be discussed.
