Meloni Announces Planned Limits on Foreign Students per Class and School Face-Covering Ban

Speaking at the Fenix event organized by the youth movement of her party, Meloni said students should attend school with their faces uncovered and that no one should require a young woman to hide her face in the name of tradition. She also announced a planned legal limit on the number of foreign students in each class. These were presented as forthcoming measures, not as rules already in force. Meloni also criticized what she described as excessive permissiveness in Italian schools and called the outcome of the 1968 movement a failure.
