What is happening
On Tuesday 15 September, the Productive Activities Committee will hear representatives of the Observatory on Italian Public Accounts, Simest President Vittorio de Pedys and economist Francesco Saraceno on Italy’s competitiveness, GDP dynamics from 1992 to 2025 compared with the EU average, and measures to support growth. At 12:40, it will hear representatives of the Fondazione ITS MITA on the textile sector and recent developments in European legislation. The Labour Committee will also hear companies, legal experts, professional organisations, delivery and trade union groups on the draft legislation implementing EU Directive 2024/2831 on working conditions in digital platform work, with further hearings scheduled for Wednesday 16 September.
