Italian Parliament schedules hearings on human rights, the Mattei Plan, the Arctic and platform work

The Chamber of Deputies has scheduled hearings from 15 to 17 September on Italy’s international engagement, the Mattei Plan, Arctic geopolitics and the implementation of EU rules on working conditions in digital platforms.

What is happening

On 15 September, the Foreign Affairs Committee will hear Patricia Núñez, a member of Ecuador’s National Assembly, on human rights. On 16 September, it will hear representatives of Youth of Sumud and KURVE Wustrow, as well as organisations on the implementation of the Mattei Plan, including AOI, Cini, LINK 2007, ECCO and Action Aid. On 17 September, the committee on Arctic foreign policy will hear Mario De Pizzo. Separately, the Labour Committee will hear companies, legal experts, professional organisations, trade unions and other labour groups on the draft legislation implementing EU Directive 2024/2831 on working conditions in digital platform work. The hearings will be streamed on the Chamber’s web TV.
