In an interview with AGI at the Venice Film Festival, Mazzi said the summer occupancy rate for rooms and accommodation listed on major global online platforms was nearly 62%, up 14.3% from the previous year. He said September bookings were 13 points ahead of Spain and 27 points ahead of France. Mazzi described tourism as a strategic economic sector, citing cultural, food and wine, and cycling tourism. He also announced the “Che spettacolo d’Italia” project, intended to support film and television productions that promote tourism connected to cinema.
