What is happening
The ceremony in the Queen’s Hall at Montecitorio will open with remarks by Chamber President Lorenzo Fontana and Vice President Giorgio Mulè, who promoted the law. The event will include the premiere of the documentary “Baracke 13,” readings from internees’ writings and diaries by Cesare Bocci, and Giuseppe Zeno’s account of portraying Giovannino Guareschi in a Rai fiction. It will be broadcast by Rai Parlamento and the Chamber’s web TV.
Why is it on the Radar?
The event commemorates the Italian military internees and presents historical testimony and documentary material about their experience, with support from Italian institutions in Berlin and the ANRP.
